WCPT is a registered training organisation (RTO 51792) which means your Advanced Diploma will be a nationally recognised qualification.

WCPT have designed a learning and assessment approach that is industry driven. This means that your learning and assessments will prepare you to work and perform in the conveyancing industry. We have worked closely with the AICWA to ensure our programs are relevant, practical and up to date with contemporary work practices, meaning our students can feel assured that what they learn, as well as the way they learn, is preparing them to succeed in the industry.

A completely online course

The Advanced Diploma of Conveyancing is a fully online course, but be careful, not all online courses are created equal!

The WCPT course is video based making it very hard to compare to other courses. Think Netflix versus going to the library!

Each unit is made up of an engaging studio made video along with an extensive textbook and links to relevant websites and resources. Students also have access to previously recorded webinars as an additional resource.

All assessments are completed online via realplace, which is the WCPT online learning platform. Our students tell us that online training via realplace is like having their own private teacher. A person speaking directly to them, explaining everything they need to know, posing questions and providing answers.

The platforms allows you to press pause and reflect on the ideas, or replay a section over again if you miss something.

Completing the course fully online allows students to work at their own pace which means the study is totally self-directed. Each student works at their speed – not ours. You can work fast, slow, or somewhere in between.

The online platform realplace is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year – so students work to their timetable, not ours.

There are no start or end dates, no minimum numbers required to run a course and no cancelling of courses or units for any reason.

Course Length

We describe this course as self-paced, meaning completion time varies based on individual circumstances.

  • Units: The Advanced Diploma consists of thirteen WCPT units, each with approximately 5 hours of video content, viewable at your own pace.
  • Learning Style: Some find the video content sufficient due to life skills and property experience. Others benefit from pausing, replaying, and taking notes, which can extend learning time. Some may watch videos multiple times or revisit specific ones as they progress.
  • Reading: Those who prefer reading might spend additional time on the extensive texts attached to each unit or following along with the videos.
  • Assessments: These involve multiple-choice comprehension questions, written knowledge questions, case studies, forms, contracts, and scenario interpretations. Each unit also has a research-based assignment.

Completion time varies with individual learning styles and commitments. Some finish quickly by working on assignments during nights and weekends, while others take a more methodical approach. The enrolment period is 24 months, with most students finishing in about 12-18 months. Some complete it faster due to existing skills and knowledge, while others may need the full 24 months. The duration ultimately depends on your learning style and lifestyle.

FAQ

What if I need to ask a question or don’t understand something in the course?

We have a dedicated student support manager who is available via phone or email.

Will there be any opportunity to meet with other students in person?

Yes we hold regular study days that also serve as networking days for our students.
These days are not overly structured and allow all participants to ask questions, discuss answers and gain knowledge from industry experts. The study days are held once every three months and feature guest speakers from Government Departments and related industries.

Why are there no face to face classes?

Because the Conveyancing industry made it clear to us that they needed the flexibility to study when and where they wanted with the additional support of a person to speak to and some study days so they still got interaction with fellow students – so we provided what the industry asked for!
Plus our online course does not require minimum numbers – just you!

Is this course relevant in all states of Australia?

Conveyancing is a state regulated industry. This means that the rules around conveyancing vary depending on which state you are working in. The current course is written to West Australian legislation, meaning we reference WA rules and requirements throughout the course. We are in the process of creating video content for each of the jurisdictions in Australia.
Victoria will be available soon.
Let us know if you want us to keep you posted.
PS: As this is a nationally recognised qualification there is nothing stopping you completing your Advanced Diploma of Conveyancing via realplace, regardless of where you work. However, we need to make it clear that all reference to state based legislation is currently WA based.
